Project

This renovation and extension project to a charming period house in Hawthorn, was another classic example of Capital Building modernising a disjointed house with tight living areas and turning it into an open plan, entertainers delight.

Special features of this project included the large bi-folding doors across the entire rear wall, enabling and connecting the indoor with outdoor living spaces. Included was an extra-long island bench from inside to outside, allowing for additional workspace and storage for entertaining.

A roof light well with clerestory windows was incorporated to help draw as much natural light into the entertaining area as possible.
