This project was a delight from the start. Our client’s brief was to ensure we retained and matched their homes aesthetic, with this new extension. With careful consideration to this, we were able to design an extension and renovation that perfectly matched their home’s existing character.

Typical of Bentleigh, this weatherboard consisted of a small living area, kitchen and three bedrooms on ground floor. Capital Building was able to transform this into a large open plan living area with additional space provided through a second storey extension, including three bedrooms, a bathroom and private retreat. Original features of the house were retained, including the ornamental fireplace and period mouldings. The new second storey extension matched in with the retained ground floor façade, presenting a seamless and justified transition between old and new.
Our client’s own personalities were brought to life in this extension and renovation through their choice of finishes and fixtures. Green tiles flow through the home, featuring in both bathrooms, laundry, and kitchen. They add melody to the home, with their wonderful earthy and vibrant tones.
